What You Are Looking For: Are Russian Women Good Mothers?

By Mark De Schutter

Is it really possible to tell are Russian women good mothers based solely on where they come from? Perhaps there is a line of thought that increases the chances that she will make a good mother, but there are never any guarantees when it comes to dealing with the human race.

Most Russian women that are in search of Western men to marry are looking for a full package. They want a good man, a good life, and yes, good children. There are some women, just as there are some men, that are not interested in becoming parents in the near future. This does not necessarily mean that they will not make good parents in a few years.

When we start to live a new life, as Russian brides do, we all need some time to adjust and to make the most of the good and the difficult elements of such a transition. Introducing babies too early can overwhelm a woman and create havoc in your life. It is important to take things slowly enough to allow her to adjust and become a good wife first, and then transition toward being a good mother.

Many men miss the element of adjustment because they are excited. They are starting to develop the life that they want and they get ahead of themselves with joy, excitement, and anticipation. It can take more than just a few weeks for your new wife to get on board with all your plans. She needs time to get comfortable in her new environment and to develop the same ideals about home and family that you have.

Russian women in general make very good mothers. Often when you come from a background of poverty, a background of violence, or a background of distinct disadvantages you want to make sure that your child has something better. The same applies to Russian brides.

If you are hoping that your Russian wife will want to start having children you need to make sure that you discuss this thoroughly during visits and chat sessions. Having children is nothing to be entered into lightly and it is possible that there will be some disagreements regarding the timing of having children.

If you want a Russian woman to make a good mother you have to allow her to explore her opportunities here in the States. She may want children, but she may also want a career or an educational opportunity that she didn't have the chance for in Russia.

You also want to ensure that in order for Russian women to make good mothers they are freely operating within your home. Having a family with you should be a choice. Just as any other woman would have the choice when it was the right time, you have to respect her body enough to know that she has the power to choose this freely as well.

Wind Up Lanterns are Both Convenient and Useful

By Lenny Tan

Power outages are a given, and everyone deals with at some time. You could be doing laundry or curled up with a book when the lights just suddenly go out on you. There you are, bouncing off furniture in the dark, looking for the candles and trying to remember where you last saw the box of matches. Since candles and matches are not things you leave out all the time, you end up stumbling over everything trying to get an alternative light source going.

If you had a wind up lantern, however, you could avoid the difficulties altogether and be back in business as soon as the lights flickered. These handy little tools are great for all kinds of scenarios, including power outages.

When you're ready to buy your first wind up lantern, you'll find some basic features that are part of most of the models. First of all, the lantern is powered by LED lights. These types of lights don't use very much electricity for the volume of light produced. There are some of the models that may have 6 of the LED light and give out a good amount of light. These lights are all powered up by the hand crank. You can have fifteen to thirty minutes of light for as little as one minute of winding the crank.

Also, just about all of these lanterns have additional survival and safety options; an AM/FM radio built into the device is the most prevalent. Usually, emergency beacons are included as well. A few have additional benefits like MP3 players or charging ports for cell phones. Although the wind up handle charges all of the models, a few are also equipped with battery power, which makes them even more convenient.

These wind up lanterns are an affordable source of light in emergencies, so having several on hand must makes sense. If you have regular power outages in your area, having a couple in your home makes sense. Obviously they are terrific to have along when you're out camping or hiking, or any outdoor adventure. The nice thing about those with battery backup is charging them before you go anywhere and then you have no worries about running out of power. All it will take is a quick hand crank and your wind up lantern is up and running immediately.

Nobody likes to think their worse case scenario will happen. But things do happen, and it's to your advantage to be ready for any possibilities. The nice thing about a wind up lantern is it's available at all times, no matter why you need the light.

Just knowing that you can have light even if it's a simple power outage at home, or for camping out in the great outdoors, or finding yourself in the middle of a real emergency will really reduce a lot of stress you could be experiencing in your life.

Sports Themed Baby Showers Will Be a Hit With the Sporty Mom

By Edie Mindell

Throwing a sports themed baby shower is becoming more and more popular, especially among young parents in their twenties and thirties. Not only are sports fan baby showers a blast, but they are also very easy to decorate for. You can really do a lot with a sports theme baby shower; from the food you cater to the decorations you use, sports themes are pretty easy to plan.

Although sports themed baby showers are usually held for baby boys, there is no rule that says that one cant have one for a baby girl. This theme is usually reflective of the parents more than the expected baby. Some young couples are huge sports fans, and decide to focus their baby shower on their favorite sport or team.

College graduates often decide to theme their babys shower after their college sports teams, and invite many of their fellow colleagues and friends. In fact, a sports theme is great for a coed or a couples baby shower. Sports themed baby showers can be focused on a specific sport, a favorite college or professional league team, or can be a general sports party.

If you decide to have a general, broad sports theme, you will have an easy time decorating the shower. Balloons, streamers, and decorative posters come in a wide array of shapes and sizes that have to do with sports. There are many football, basketball, baseball, and soccer decorations out there that you can find in party decorating stores. Balloons often come in the shapes of sporting goods like basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, baseballs, and baseball bats. For a sports medley theme, combine several of these balloons and arrange and distribute them throughout your party space.

A really cool idea that will really set a basketball atmosphere is to use basketball hoops that you can stick on the walls to decorate the place. Use black tape to form a court design on the floor, and buy toy basketballs that your guests can play with. You can even use these items to set up a mini basketball game. Everyone will definitely enjoy playing real basketball as a baby shower game!

For a baseball theme, use green and orange rugs to create a floor setting that resemble a baseball court. Use real baseball bases and set them up in the room. Have baseball and baseball bat balloons all over the room, and buy toy baseballs and baseball bats for a mini game.

You can use similar ideas for football and soccer. For instance, for soccer, set up a goal net and give out toy soccer balls to your guests. For football and soccer, you can use green rugs or a green floor overlay and white tape to create the illusion of a court.

Remember to hang up banners and posters to add to the theme. It is also good to have some pompoms on hand to give out to the girls. A cute idea for centerpieces and prizes are trophies. These will look fabulous on your tables and your guests will love to take one home!

Things You Should Never Do To Fix A Relationship

By Astrid Engels

No matter how wonderful your relationship, everyone goes through phases of "not so great". No relationship is immune to larger known issues, nor to the small stuff that leaves us out of sorts with each other. The good news? It's not the end; and it doesn't mean that things won't go back to being love dovey.

Along with the good news, there's some bad news. When you're part of a troubled twosome it can be difficult to see ahead to better times. And that lack of clarity can make people do some really stupid things; all in the hopes of saving their relationship.

Which is all very understandable. If you're in that situation and need some help getting things turned around, read on for three things you definitely should NOT do to get your relationship back on track. And by the way, the baby thing? I so did not do that.

Babies

There is just so much wrong with this it's hard to know where to start. That it even needs to be mentioned is just sad. It happens though, too often. People get scared and think that an addition to the family will bring them closer together as a couple, even if that means tricking their partner into an "accidental" pregnancy. It will do no such thing; and using an innocent to try to patch your relationship? Abhorrent!

Invade your partner's privacy

"I know that if I sneak a peak at his email and text messages I'll gain some insight into what he's thinking. If I can do that I can fix all our problems". Are you crazy?? Besides possibly breaking the law this is bound to get you broken up. Deliberately snooping through someone's private business is never okay.

Moreover, checking his Facebook account and his other means of communication are guaranteed to freak you out. It's a lose lose situation. If you find something incriminating you won't be able to use it in court. If you find nothing then you're just a sneaky snoop. So don't even go there.

Move in with each other

This one is along the same lines as having a baby. Moving in together when your relationship is in trouble is just never a good idea; rather you're inviting trouble. It may be an understandable response, but it's illogical.

While the two of you may labor under the illusion of romance and the temporary diversion can be a thrill, in the long term your problems will still be there. Only now, you're sharing them with a lease or a mortgage on top of everything else. Talk about complicating things!

Rebound Relationships? Good or Bad?

By Stan J. Van Sant

Is there really anything worse rebound relationships? You're just moving on, right? No harm in that. But upon closer examination, there may be a lot wrong with that.

If there hasn't been enough space and time given to allow the past lover to recede into the distance, the new relationship will suffer, naturally. It's kind of like trying to be in two places at one time. It is just not possible.

Is it remotely fair to your new interest to know that emotionally you are in another place, thinking of someone else? In body you may be in one place while your heart exists somewhere else.

Before entering an involvement with someone who may have history of rebound relationships, you need to be asking some tough upfront questions: Are you emotionally over the past relationship? Has enough time elapsed to allow the processing of the emotions? Is it really time to consider an another deep involvement?

The seductive component in these rebound relationships is simply the exhilarating plush of a new romance. Of course, we all know that is stage one. What lies beyond door number two? That's where you find out what your new involvement is made of. Stage one can be so emotionally powerful, we forget the reality of how relationships really work.

If you find yourself in one of these rebound relationships, or if you are about to enter one, purposely slow things down a tad. It is not going to hurt anything. Be cautious. Ask questions, both of yourself and of your new partner. If the new involvement has value, it can withstand some scrutiny.

We only get from life what we demand of it, and rebound relationships give us some of the most difficult emotional turf we have to negotiate. Ask tough questions. Both of yourself and of your new prospective partner. Don't allow yourself to be used as an emotional pillow, to be thrown away after a good night's rest.

Be realistic when it comes to these rebound relationships. Know them for what they really are. Know that when entering into one, the odds of flourishing, healthy, long-lasting involvement is not very good - although it can happen. If you do that, you'll at least be aware of the hazards and realistic about a possible outcome.

Shining Doesn't Mean Breaking Your Bank

By Peter Nigerami

All women wants jewelry but they are just so expensive. The good news? It's definitely possible. You will be interested in how to save money on jewelry I'm sure, so this following article should be of help.

Online auctions are all anonymous so it's a great way to not be embarrassed about just finding out about prices. Once you know the range, you can find a way to get a discount.

Don't forget about pawn shops. These shops generally ask for the value of the material in the product without a stiff markup. Remember that generally the markup on jewelry can be as high as 500 percent.

Ask around. Not many of your friends will know but one of two of them will probably be jewelry experts. They can tell you the cheapest place to buy, and the place that will give you the best service too.

Most people look at the upfront price but consider the servicing costs. Some stores will give you lifetime cleaning services for free which can add up.

If you know a thing or two about jewelry, you may want to go to the flea markets and yard sales to find the true gems at incredible prices.

Craft fairs are another good place to look for bargains. Usually you are dealing one on one with the jewelry maker and can bargain with them. These people know their product and are usually very honest.

Jewelry merchants who rely on advertising are usually the ones that make high margins. Those who are low key will have good quality, cheap prices and awesome service, which is what you need.

Buying jewelry on TV or at the mall is a sure way to pay top prices for mediocre quality. The advertising are so expensive that they have to make their money back somehow.

What is purported to be gold can be brass or gold plated or filled. What is listed as sterling silver on a store sign may not be sterling at all. Make sure a piece is marked correctly before making a purchase or if you don't know, find a reputable dealer.

Save Skin By Treating Your Skin With Care

By Gabbie Hernandez

The skin is the largest organ of the body. It has the most important job of protecting all internal organs, not only by keeping them in place but preventing infections from entering the body. The skin has not only such an important role but it also has the ability to heal and repair as needed. It is a well known fact that your skin is the first signal indicator that something may be happening to your body internally. For these reasons it is very important to take the best care possible of your skin.

Now that you have a clearer understanding of the important roles your skin has, its time to think about the daily toxins and exposures to the elements it is receiving. Your skin faces various elements from day to day such as the heat, cold, wind, sun, rain and pollutants. Knowing that your skin is exposed to the elements and pollutants, it should be no surprise that your skin is having moisture stolen from it. Moisture and oils that are necessary to keep it looking healthy and feeling smooth.

Your skin is made up of millions of skin cells. Every day you naturally lose thousands of dead skin cells and so the skin is constantly working to replenish the dead ones. Over time the cells get damaged and damaged skin cells is what ultimately leads to damaged skin which results in sagging of the skin and wrinkles.

If you watch TV then you have probably seen a slue of infomercials and regular commercials advertising products that swear to zap wrinkles or repair damaged skin even from years of sun damage. Now I am not saying that these products are falsely advertising or that their products do not work. There are many products on the market that have been found to be effective on wrinkles and prevention of new wrinkles but with so many products that are absolute scams, you have to be careful. many of these products on TV offer cleansers and moisturizers that have natural herbs which are very common in just about every skin care product world wide.

Did you know that for thousands of years people have taken care of their skin by using homemade herbal products? Back in 3000 BC, the Egyptians started using fenugreek and roses on their skin for preventing wrinkles. many herbs like Aloe Vera have been found to be very good for the skin. Aloe Vera is a tried and true herb because it has many beneficial properties such as it is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and has recently been found to have immune-stimulating agents.

Many people have a general idea that you should take care of your skin and they do so by occasionally lathering up with a sunscreen or washing their face with soap and water. Washing with soap and water is much to harsh on the skin. You need to use a product that is gentle enough for your face. I am not going to go over how important sunscreen use is but you should be using a daily sunscreen on your face and neck. It can be in the form of a daily moisturizer that contains SPF, a tinted moisturizer with SPF, makeup such as cover-up that uses SPF or sunscreen alone.
